Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the St. Augustine Saints walked away with it. They didn't even let the Grizzlies onto the board and left with a 13-0 victory on Friday. The victory was nothing new for St. Augustine as they're now sitting on six straight.
St. Augustine found their leader in underclassman Honor Faalave-johnson, who rushed for 46 yards and two touchdowns.
The team lost despite holding St. Augustine to a paltry no rushing yards and no passing yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Mission Hills' ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid the passer out three times before it was all said and done. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jonathon Class.
St. Augustine is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Mission Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4-1.
St. Augustine will look to defend their home field on December 2nd against St. Bonaventure at 7:00 p.m. St. Bonaventure is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. Mission Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
