5A Portland recap Oct. 30, 2012
Wilson extended the longest winning streak in 5A Portland this week by beating Cleveland, 43-18. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Trojans.
Roosevelt's dynamic duo of Kimane Domena and Antonio Bella proved tough for Redmond to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Domena threw for 190 yards and two touchdowns and Bella had 91 yards receiving. Joshua Berry helped Roosevelt's passing attack out by catching three balls for 48 yards.
Cory Hincks was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 113 yards as Wilson fell to the Panthers. Xavier Pierce also contributed to the rushing game with 42 yards on the ground.
Roosevelt's Domena and Bella have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Domena has thrown for 1254 yards this season, while Bella, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 44 catches for 903 yards. Hincks from Ken Duilio's team leads the league in rushing with 1611 yards.
Christian Swain's team's Bella is only 97 receiving yards away from breaking 1,000 receiving yards this season as he enters this week's game against the Pendleton.
The Trojans led 5A Portland in scoring this week after putting up 43 points on the Warriors. Michael Reid threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns and ran for one yards in the win.
