Basketball Recap: Ravenscroft Skates Past Trinity Academy with Ease

Ravenscroft won the last time they faced Trinity Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Ravenscroft Ravens breezed by the Trinity Academy Tigers to the tune of 67-33. The game marked the Ravens' most dominant win of the season.

Ravenscroft's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hannah Mason, who went 7 of 13 from beyond the arc en route to 23 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Mason a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Ellie Cronin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 boards.

The win was the fourth in a row for Ravenscroft, bringing their record for this year to 10-12. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Trinity Academy, they moved to 9-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ravenscroft will venture away from home to take on North Raleigh Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. North Raleigh Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season. Trinity Academy has already played their next match (against St. David's), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
