Walker extended the longest winning streak in A Region 6B this week by beating Mt. Zion, 21-14. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Wolverines.
King's Ridge Christian moved up to 194 from 283 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. A 34-17 win over King's Ridge Christian helped King's Ridge Christian improve its standing.
Walker's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Cameron Bloebaum threw for 54 yards and Sloan Coolbroth had 45 yards receiving. On the ground Evan Kasian chipped in 207 yards. Kevin Bray helped Walker's passing attack out by catching one ball for nine yards.
Fellowship Christian's Hunter Bryant and Conor Linneen have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Bryant has thrown for 314 yards this season, while Linneen, a 6-foot-2 receiver, has nine catches for 123 yards. John East's team's Kasian leads the league in rushing yards with 767.
King's Ridge Christian made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,890 from 7,536. The improvement came about via a 34-17 victory over King's Ridge Christian last week.
