After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Chief Paul Memorial, the Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat Seahawks were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 43-34 win over Eek. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
It was another big night for Rehana Matthew, who scored 25 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat's points. Another player making a difference was Dana Roberts, who scored nine points.
Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Eek, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial the next time they take the court. Eek will head out to face Ket'acik and Aapalluk Memorial at 6:10 p.m. on Friday, while Kuinerrarmiut Elitnaurviat will host them at 6:10 p.m. on Friday.
