The Albany Lions put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Roscoe at home to the tune of 44-7. The result was nothing new for Albany, who have now won five games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Albany had a senior duo take command as Adam Hill gained 295 total yards and three touchdowns and Cason Fairchild gained 164 total yards and three touchdowns. Hill was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards.
Albany's win was their 19th straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 46.9 points per game. As for Roscoe, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Albany will take on Hamlin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hamlin will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1054th, while Albany is ranked 167th). As for Roscoe, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
