On Friday, the Olympia Titans faced the Edgewater Eagles in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Olympia walked away with a 69-58 win over Edgewater. The victory was nothing new for Olympia as they're now sitting on three straight.
Kameren Wright continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that he pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sean Owens, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Olympia pushed their record up to 15-4 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 18.57 points. As for Edgewater, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Olympia and Apopka will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Apopka is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Edgewater, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Winter Haven at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
