After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ontario Christian, Woodcrest Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Loma Linda Academy Roadrunners with a sharp 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Royals yet this season.

The 3-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 25-22.

Woodcrest Christian found their leader in sophomore Brooklyn Russell, who had 13 digs and two aces.

Woodcrest Christian's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-13. As for Loma Linda Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
