The Fairview Yellowjackets lost against the Alva Goldbugs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Fairview was beaten by Alva 70-42. Fairview has not had much luck with Alva recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lakin Gaddy was her usual excellent self, scoring 24 points for Alva. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadlee Ohm, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds.
Fairview now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Alva, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
Fairview will be home for the holidays to greet Crescent at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Crescent is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Alva, they will head out on the road to face off against Perry at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Perry has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
