The Westview Warriors's nine-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Garrett with a sharp 52-29 win. For Westview, this counts as revenge for the 46-40 defeat Garrett walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Westview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hope Bortner led the charge by scoring 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Karis Weinberg, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals.
The last time Westview lost on the road was back last Tuesday. Having now won five straight away games, they've pushed their record up to 1-9. As for Garrett, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Westview will head out on the road to face off against Central Noble at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Central Noble focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday. As for Garrett, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Churubusco at 7:30 p.m.
