The Middlesex Chargers will challenge the Lancaster Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lancaster took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Middlesex, who comes in off a win.
Middlesex is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Colonial Beach 29-10 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Chargers in their matchups with the Drifters: they've now won five in a row.
Lailah Baylor made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and nine unearned) runs off four hits. Baylor was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

She also got a hit, marking her first of the season. Kyla Blazek was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base.
Middlesex always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .652. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Colonial Beach only posted an OBP of .448.
Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Lancaster's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to Strasburg, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Middlesex's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to 8-3.
