The Tintic Miners will face off against the American Heritage Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Tintic is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Pinnacle with a sharp 18-4 win on Monday. The Miners have beaten the Panthers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Camden Johnson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tristen Terry, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that he has brought in this season. Gavin Bratt was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
Tintic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, American Heritage made easy work of Merit Preparatory Academy on Friday and carried off a 23-3 victory.
Like Tintic, American Heritage also got a great game from a two-way player: Justin Robertson. He struck out ten batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Robertson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 4-for-5 with four runs, two triples, and two RBI.
American Heritage's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tintic, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
Tintic might still be hurting after the 15-6 loss they got from American Heritage in their previous matchup back in August of 2024. Can the Miners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
