After both having extra time off, the Neuse Christian Academy Lions and the Hilltop Christian Chargers will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 5:30 p.m. on November 28th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Neuse Christian Academy suffered a tough 44-21 defeat at the hands of Oak Forest. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Neuse Christian Academy in their matchups with Oak Forest: they've now lost three in a row.
Morgan Little put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 8 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn Williams, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Hilltop Christian lost to Cramerton Christian Academy on the road by a decisive 36-21 margin on Friday. Hilltop Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Hilltop Christian got a solid performance out of Meleah Bell, who scored 11 points. Bell scored a full 52.4% of Hilltop Christian's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Their wins bumped Neuse Christian Academy to 1-1 and Oak Forest to 3-0.
