North Bay recap September 4, 2013
Casa Grande's John Porchivina recorded the longest rushing play in North Bay this season in his game against Eureka last week. Porchivina ran for 82 yards on the play and finished with 186 on the day as his team bested the Loggers.
Windsor moved up to 275 from 414 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Jaguars were able to make move up by besting Granada 39-36.
Vince Jones threw for 115 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 7-9 with 0 interceptions.
Miles Gardea was the best receiver in the league this week as Casa Grande topped Eureka. Gardea racked up 6 receptions for 54 yards. Jonathan Weber helped Casa Grande's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 38 yards.
Jones put up the best numbers in passing as Santa Rosa bested Petaluma.
JaJuan Lawson provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Trent Herzog's team topped Jason White's team. He completed 15 passes for 198 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 24 yards.
Porchivina was the best running back in North Bay this week. Cody Hughson also contributed to the rushing game with 39 yards on the ground.
The Gauchos were the team made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fourth in the league. Earlier in the week, Casa Grande triumphed over the Loggers 51-13.
