The South Anchorage Wolverines will take on the Colony Knights in a tournament on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
South Anchorage is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Service, who was ranked seventh at the time (South Anchorage was ranked fifth). The Wolverines simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Cougars 34-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Wolverines just coasted through the last quarter.
Jillian Preston had another great game (as she tends to do), throwing for 176 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 32 yards. Brianna Bailey made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Meanwhile, Colony got themselves on the board against Lathrop on Sunday, but Lathrop never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 32-0 win over the Malemutes. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Malemutes recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.
South Anchorage better keep an eye on Ella Richarson. She was instrumental in Colony's win, picking up 122 receiving yards and one score. Richarson showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 58 yards.
Colony's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Lathrop's QB won't forget Neveah Crawford anytime soon given she sacked her twice.
South Anchorage's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Colony, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.
