Softball Recap: Broadway Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Broadway's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Rocktown Raptors a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Gobblers have won eight games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Broadway's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Rocktown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Broadway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-2 win against William Monroe on the 5th. As for Rocktown, they will take on East Rockingham at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
