Garrett Valdez, QB, Heritage Hall- Valdez threw for 302 yards and six touchdown passes in a 69-16 victory over Wellston, five coming in the first half, as the Chargers bolted out to a 43-0 halftime lead.
Heritage Hall Defense/Special Teams - Heritage Hall posted a safety, two kickoff returns for touchdowns, a punt return score in the victory over Wellston. Ford Binning, who caught three Valdez touchdown passes, created the safety. Banning Fudge returned both kickoffs for touchdowns while Tanner France had the punt return.
Daniel Sensano, RB, Verdigris - Sensano rushed for four touchdowns to go along with 142 yards in a 54-0 rout over Chouteau.
Matt Mitchell, RB, Stillwell - Mitchell rushed for a school-record 275 yards and two touchdowns in a 44-7 victory over Fort Gibson.
Darius Hopper, QB, Grove - In a 34-20 victory over Miami, Hopper threw for 210 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The victory sets up a huge encounter with Wagoner this Friday.
Beau Marslan, QB, Blackwell - Ouch! Marslan had his way with his old school with 210 yards passing with a touchdown while adding two more trips to the end zone on the ground in a 41-14 victory over Locust Grove. Marslan is just a sophomore.
Cody Chreene, LB, Beggs - Beggs gave Class 2A ninth-ranked Chandler all it could handle, but fell short with a 37-30 loss. Chreene was a major reason why with 30 tackles, a sack, and a fumble recovery.
Auggie McCulley, RB, Hennessey - McCulley is leading the resurgent Eagles into the playoffs after rushing for 258 yards and three touchdowns in a 21-14 victory over Perkins-Tryon.
Bubby Hyde, RB, Stroud - Hyde rushed for 236 yards and three scores in a 41-6 victory over Crooked Oak.
Brandon Allen, QB, Plainview - Allen threw for three scores and 270 yards in a 51-14 victory over Madill.

Ratings Comments: Stillwell leaps into the ratings at sixth after a school-record 275 yards rushing by junior Matt Mitchell. Star Spencer is back in after routing McLoud, 50-26. McLoud's second straight loss continued its tumble from fifth two weeks ago to out of the ratings. Hilldale lost 29-19 to Sallisaw, and also slides out. Miami drops one place to ten after a 34-20 loss to second-ranked Grove.
Class 4A Quick Hits
-Star Spencer won its third straight with a mildly surprising 50-26 victory over McLoud, as mentioned above. It was not a Star Spencer win that was the surprise; it was how they did it. McLoud entered the weekend rated seventh in Class 4A. The Bobcats overwhelmed McLoud with 394 yards of total offense.
Darwin Rideau rushed for 179 yards and five touchdowns, while Terrance Olds added 125 yards and another touchdown for Star Spencer. Quarterback Josh Childress ran for 88 yards in his third varsity start, all Star Spencer victories.
-After trailing 7-0 after the first quarter, Glenpool went to work. The Warriors unleashed its fury on Deer Creek by rolling up 27 second quarter points. Marco Nelson got the explosion started with a 39-yard touchdown run. Trevor Nicholson followed suit with scores from 34 and 3 yards.
-Grove set up a monumental contest on Friday with Wagoner by downing Miami, 34-20. Quarterback Darius Hopper threw for 210 yards and two touchdowns for the Ridgerunners. Corey Davenport turned an interception into points after racing 78 yards for a touchdown.
-Sallisaw ousted Hilldale from the ratings with a 29-19 upset. Matt Oberste led the Black Diamonds with 184 passing yards in the upset performance.

Class 3A Quick Hits
-All signs were pointing toward a one-two battle in Week 9 with Clinton and Tuttle, until Kingfisher had to spoil the party with a 24-16 victory at Tuttle. Patrick Peck rushed for a pair of touchdowns and Nathan Grabow raced 70 yards for a score to help give the Yellowjackets a 24-0 lead.
Tuttle fought back, led by quarterback Sterling Koons. Koons put Tuttle on the scoreboard in the third quarter with a 21-yard run for the Tigers to close the gap to 14-6. After earning a safety, Koons drilled Ryan Hendrickson with a 45-yard touchdown pass to give the Tigers hope. Kingfisher's defense denied the comeback, intercepting Koons late in the game.
-Vinita's Billy Carter threw for four touchdown passes to lead the Hornets to a 52-6 victory over Inola.
-Metro Christian had its way with Berryhill, 49-27. The Jason Robison-led air show produced four touchdown passes, and the quarterback even produced another on the ground. Metro Christian wide receivers Ryan Nussbaum and David Fitter are both seeking 1,000 receiving yards apiece this season for the Patriots.
-Plainview remained unbeaten with a 51-14 victory over Madill. The second-ranked Indians got 270 yards passing and three touchdowns from Brandon Allen. Justin Blackmon hauled in two touchdowns from 90 and 53 yards from Allen, and also added an 11-yard run. The Indians led 44-7 at halftime.

Class 2A Quick Hits
-For at least a few hours on Thursday night, Cascia Hall could concentrate on football. The top-ranked team in Class 2A came into a road contest with Sperry with heavy hearts following the death of three students in a plane crash last week near Glenpool. The Commandoes did their part in focusing on football with a 42-6 victory over the Pirates
A pair of touchdown passes by Sam Clancy and two other touchdowns via a punt return and a fumble return allowed the Commandoes to take a 28-0 lead into intermission. Pete Testa's 95-yard fumble return in the second quarter was one of five Sperry turnovers.
-Alva's Derek Lohmann accounted for five touchdowns in an impressive 42-7 victory over Fairview. Lohmann rushed for a 17-yard score followed by a pair of 1-yard runs and caught touchdown passes of 56 and 45 yards from Mitchell Gale.
-Bethel, just sitting outside the Class 2A ratings this week, got four touchdown passes from quarterback Jace Johnson in a 42-0 victory over St. Mary's.

Class A Quick Hits
-Matt Benham accounted for three touchdowns as defending Class A champion Okeene whipped Hooker, 55-0. After dropping its first game of the season, the Whippets have rolled mostly due to the play of Benham.
-Is Texhoma for real? It appears so. The Red Devils got three touchdown runs from Ben Mitchell in a 42-0 victory over Beaver. All signs are pointing to an important showdown in the final week of the regular season against Okeene, likely to decide the District A-1 title. Texhoma is unbeaten against in-state competition this season. The victory over Beaver was its fourth shutout of the campaign
