As a matter of fact, Lincoln County put up the most runs they have all season on Tuesday. They put the hurt on GV Christian with a sharp 24-12 win. The victory continues a trend for the Lynx in their matchups with the Guardians: they've now won seven in a row.
Dominic Horlacher made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over 4.2 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Lincoln County is 2-1 when Horlacher posts three or more RBI, but 4-8-1 otherwise.

In other batting news, Mason Sinay was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with five runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Those five runs gave him a new career-high. Layton Stevens was another key player, going 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.
Lincoln County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, White Pine came up short against Boulder City on Tuesday and fell 14-10. Even if the Bobcats couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Jacob Derbidge was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Vince Cato, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.
White Pine's defeat dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Lincoln County, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9-1.
Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Lincoln County has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. However, it's not like White Pine struggles in that department as they've averaged .480. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lincoln County might still be hurting after the 13-5 loss they got from White Pine in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Lynx avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
