Camas (Wash.) jumped out to an early lead against Auburn Mountainview (Auburn, Wash.) and never looked back on the way to a 69-24 victory on Saturday.
The Papermakers put up 14 points in the opening frame. Camas scored on a passing touchdown and a touchdown run by
Josh Mattox.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Mattox in the first quarter, CHS was up 48-17 at the half.
The Papermakers expanded their lead to 45 points entering the fourth quarter. Camas scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run.
The defeat comes as a step back for Auburn Mountainview, who notched a 52-0 victory over Mt. Tahoma in its previous outing. The win brought Camas' winning streak to three games.
Auburn Mountainview (1-2) will play a non-conference game against Battle Ground next week, while Camas (3-0) will take on Lakes also in a non-conference game.
