South Lyon East entered their tilt with Lakeland on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Eagles 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: South Lyon East took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-9, 25-15.

Lexi Coleman paced South Lyon East's offense, picking up 19 kills. Coleman got some help from Ava Kiernan and her 17 assists. Brooke Scheuher controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

South Lyon East's victory bumped their record up to 25-5-1. As for Lakeland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10-1.

Looking ahead, South Lyon East will be playing in front of their home fans against South Lyon at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lakeland, they will take on Ubly in a tournament on Saturday.
