Adding to the longest winning streak in Central Connecticut III East this week, Platt beat Rockville 53-7. The win marks ninth in a row for the the Panthers.
ANDREW MC BRIDE threw for 186 yards and 4 touchdowns. He went 9-15 with 0 interceptions.
Mitch Williams was a passing and rushing force as Berlin fell to Rocky Hill. He completed 26 passes for 265 yards and 1 touchdown and also ran for 33 yards. Williams' favorite target this week was Alec Norton, who caught 8 passes for 105 yards.
MC BRIDE and HASANI MC KENZIE gave Platt a balanced attack in passing and rushing last week. Teammate BERNARD FIGUEROA added to the ground attack by rushing for 38 yards.
6-foot-0 quarterback Williams of the Redcoats is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1,391. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is CREME WATFORD. The Platt star has 32 catches for 610 yards.
Plainville made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,827 from 10,274. The improvement was largely due to a 47-7 victory over Tolland last week.
