If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Grundy Center. They will challenge GMG on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Grundy Center will be strutting in after a win while GMG will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Everything went Grundy Center's way against East Buchanan last week as they made off with a 44-22 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Grundy Center.
Meanwhile, there's no need to mince words: GMG lost to Wapsie Valley, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 0-39. This makes it the second loss in a row for GMG.
GMG's loss took them down to 1-3 while Grundy Center's win pulled them up to 3-1. A win for GMG would reverse both their bad luck and Grundy Center's good luck. We'll see if GMG manages to pull off that tough task or if Grundy Center keeps their momentum going instead.
