Southern Lab has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Louisiana (Southern Lab is ranked 97th, while Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy is ranked 116th).
Last Tuesday, Southern Lab came up short against Central and fell 57-49.
Southern Lab's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cameron Hardnett, who scored 21 points along with 3 steals, and Troy Murphy who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. The contest was Hardnett's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy beat Rayne 57-51 last Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy.
Their wins bumped Southern Lab to 2-3 and Central to 3-0.
