St. Maries lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Sami Sindt, who scored nine points along with five rebounds. Sindt scored a full 30% of St. Maries' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
St. Maries bumped their record down to 2-6 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Potlatch, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.
St. Maries will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Orofino at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Potlatch will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Troy at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
