After flying high against Deposit-Hancock last Thursday, the Dryden Lions came back down to earth. Dryden lost to Bainbridge-Guilford on the road by a decisive 35-20 margin on Tuesday. Dryden was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bainbridge-Guilford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2014.
Dryden's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was Jay Miles, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Miles hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Danny Murphy, who gained 83 total yards and a touchdown.
Bainbridge-Guilford's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Damon Seymour, who rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Kaiden Seymour also helped out as he racked up 137 rushing yards.
Dryden has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. As for Bainbridge-Guilford, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Dryden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bainbridge-Guilford also has no future games currently scheduled.
