Kentridge strolled past Kennedy Catholic with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 60-46. That's another feather in the cap for Kentridge, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Kentridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayla Keowla, who scored 14 points along with two steals. Keowla is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaya Brown, who scored 13 points along with three steals and two blocks.
Kennedy Catholic's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mary Kaul, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Verdell (Royal) Jones, who scored four points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Kentridge's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Kennedy Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
