Brunswick won the last time they faced Fort Hill and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Railroaders were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Sentinels. The Railroaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by seven runs or more this season.
Juliette Bel made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run but no hits. Bel was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Taylor Benson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Alexis Loy was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
The win (which was Brunswick's third in a row) raised their record to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Fort Hill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brunswick will head out to challenge Catoctin at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Fort Hill, they will venture away from home to square off against Smithsburg at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.
