Eleva-Strum has gone 9-1 against Whitehall recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Cardinals will face off against the Vikings at 5:00 p.m. Eleva-Strum will be strutting in after a victory while Whitehall will be coming in after a loss.
Eleva-Strum came out on top against Melrose-Mindoro on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Cardinals took their matchup against the Mustangs 7-3.
Ruby Bartholomew made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Like Eleva-Strum, Whitehall also got a great game from a two-way player: Regan Clatt. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. Clatt was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Eleva-Strum has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Whitehall, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14.
Eleva-Strum got the 'W' when the teams last played last Friday against Whitehall by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
