Vintage will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Acalanes in at Memorial Stadium (Napa) at 4:45 PM. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Vintage had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They blew past Wood 34-7.
Meanwhile, Acalanes took care of business in their home opener. They steamrollered Las Lomas 56-6. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-6.
Their wins bumped Acalanes to 1-0 and Vintage to 1-0. With both Vintage and Acalanes swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
