Aberdeen is a perfect 10-0 against Black Hills since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Bobcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. Aberdeen is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
It was a proper cat-fight when Aberdeen took on Centralia on Friday. The Bobcats' pitcher stepped up to hand the Tigers a 4-0 shutout. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The result came thanks to Lilly Camp's shutout, as she gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Zoe Vessey, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season. Scotlyn Lecomte was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Aberdeen kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.
While Black Hills didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on North Thurston with a sharp 23-14 victory on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won four matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.
Kailey Miller and Lily Shipe did most of the damage at the plate: Miller went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Shipe went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Miller has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Makenna Oderman, who went 1-for-2 with four runs and one stolen base.
The win made it two in a row for Black Hills and bumps their season record up to 6-4. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.0 runs over those games. As for Aberdeen, their record is now 11-1.
Aberdeen took their win against Black Hills in their previous matchup last Friday by a conclusive 7-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bobcats since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
