It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Downers Grove North can now relate to. They were dealt a 45-17 defeat at the hands of the Brother Rice Crusaders on Saturday. The Trojans' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Brother Rice's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from CJ Gray, who rushed for 134 yards and four TDs while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 178 yards and one touchdown. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Gray a new career-high. Another back making a difference was Jaylin Green, who gained 228 total yards and a touchdown.

Downers Grove North's defeat dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Brother Rice, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Downers Grove North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brother Rice, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Rita at 3:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
