West Boylston/Tahanto extended the longest winning streak in Midland Wachusett - D this week by beating Narragansett Regional, 28-14. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
West Boylston/Tahanto's dynamic duo of Steven Gould and Bryan Hayes proved tough for the Warriors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Gould threw for 155 yards and one touchdown and Hayes had 147 yards receiving. Kyle McCubrey helped West Boylston/Tahanto's passing attack out by catching one ball for eight yards.
Sean Peterson was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 240 yards on 31 carries as Maynard/Bromfield beat Narragansett Regional. Shawn Kennedy also contributed to the rushing game with 107 yards on the ground.
The Lions' Gould and Hayes have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gould has thrown for 593 yards this season, while Hayes, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 17 catches for 447 yards. Peterson from the Tigers leads the league in rushing with 1002 yards.
