Palmview is a perfect 10-0 against Cigarroa since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Lobos will head out on the road to face off against the Toros at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Palmview has four straight victories, Cigarroa has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Palmview is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Martin on Tuesday as they made off with a 26-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Lobos, who have now won ten matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Maria Teresa Ramirez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Jordan Reyes and Yailyn Trevino did most of the damage at the plate: Reyes went 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple, while Trevino went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. That's the most runs Trevino has posted since back in March of 2025. Marina Rodriguez was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Palmview hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in eight consecutive games.
Mission hit Cigarroa with a eight-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Toros came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-3.
Ximenna Zarate Mata made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three stolen bases and two RBI.
Palmview's record is now 14-2-1. As for Cigarroa, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
Palmview got the 'W' when the teams last played back in February against Cigarroa by a conclusive 15-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lobos since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
