Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Mendon). Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Pittsford Wildcats  a   23-0 shutout  on Monday. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 18 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Ally Butler made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. What's more,  she posted five  strikeouts, the most she's  had  over her last four  games. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  runs and three  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Abby Butler was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.  Kaidee Gonser was another key player,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  triple.
 Mendon  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .778. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Mendon's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Pittsford, they now  have a losing record of 2-3.
 Looking ahead, Mendon will head out to  challenge Three Rivers  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Pittsford, they will challenge Colon at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
