Hot Springs County is 1-9 against Worland since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. Hot Springs County suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against Powell, falling 54-10. While losing is never fun, Hot Springs County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wyoming basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Powell is ranked seventh).
Hanna Hill was Hot Springs County's leading scorer, having posted six points. Hill also led the team in rebounds with six.
Jayssie Owsley took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.
Meanwhile, Worland's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-22 loss at the hands of Powell. Worland has struggled against Powell recently, as their contest on Saturday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Hot Springs County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Worland, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
Hot Springs County came out on top in a nail-biter against Worland when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 43-40. Does Hot Springs County have another victory up their sleeve, or will Worland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
