The Columbus North Bull Dogs came tearing into Saturday's contest with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Terre Haute South Vigo 74-18 at home. Considering Columbus North has won five matches by more than 23 points this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Columbus North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaylie Harmon out in front who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Paige Terry, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists.
Columbus North's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Terre Haute South Vigo, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbus North will challenge East Central at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 249th, while Columbus North is ranked 108th). As for Terre Haute South Vigo, they will head out on the road to face off against Avon at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Avon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five on Tuesday.
