The Leominster Blue Devils fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They put the hurt on Shrewsbury with a sharp 48-26 win on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Leominster also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Leominster found their leader in underclassman Osiris Lopez, who rushed for 110 yards on only eight carries, and also threw for 141 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.7% of his passes. Chris Hatch was another key contributor, rushing for 70 yards and two touchdowns.
Leominster is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. As for Shrewsbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
Leominster will head out on the road to face off against Algonquin Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Shrewsbury, they will be playing at home against Bridgewater-Raynham at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
