After two games on the road, Ritenour is heading back home. Having just played yesterday, they will get right back to it and host the Affton Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ritenour can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Thursday. They breezed by Hazelwood East on the road to the tune of 45-13. Given Ritenour's advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 174th, while Hazelwood East is ranked 385th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Affton entered their tilt with McCluer North with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Affton blew past McCluer North 44-24. Affton pushed the score to 42-19 by the end of the third, a deficit McCluer North cut but never quite recovered from.
Amelia Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 13 rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna M daughtry, who scored nine points along with seven steals.
Ritenour has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Affton, they pushed their record up to 10-9 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
