Sugar-Salem put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 53-34 win over the Shelley Russets. This was payback for the Diggers, who suffered a 62-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sugar-Salem's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Shelley, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Sugar-Salem and Ririe will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Shelley, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pocatello at 7:30 p.m. on January 3, 2026. The Russets will be up against the Thunder's rather soft defense (which has allowed 55.86 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
