Hopefully LEAD Academy is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Donelson Christian Academy in Tennessee (LEAD Academy is ranked 114th, while Donelson Christian Academy is ranked 260th).
Last Thursday, LEAD Academy lost to Northwest on the road by a decisive 66-49 margin. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points LEAD Academy has scored all season.
LEAD Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Brandon Fields, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds, and Anthony Petway who scored 12 points along with five assists. The matchup was Petway's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Balin Gaines, who scored eight points.
Donelson Christian Academy can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They managed a 61-56 win over Mount Juliet Christian Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
LEAD Academy's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Donelson Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.
