Riley Pruitt was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caleb Webb, who went 5 of 10 en route to 12 points along with five assists and five boards.
Midland's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Lee Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Midland will challenge Bradford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradford knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Midland likes a good challenge. As for Lee Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calhoun Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
