The Trinity Prep Saints and the Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but sadly the Trinity Prep Saints had to settle for second. They fell 51-40 to the Ducks. Trinity Prep just can't catch a break and has now endured 11 defeats in a row.
Grace Jervis was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Makenah Maddox, who scored nine points.
Trinity Prep has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-16 record this season. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.
Trinity Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Cornerstone Charter Academy is on the road again on Wednesday and plays the Lakers on February 7th. Windermere Prep presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Ducks in Florida (the Lakers are ranked 77th, while the Ducks are ranked 465th).
