The Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners will take on the Bishop Fenwick Crusaders at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
On Thursday, Peabody Veterans Memorial got the win against Greater Lawrence Tech by a conclusive 16-6. Considering the Tanners have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Ayanna Cirame spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lizzy Bettencourt, who went 4-for-5 with four runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Taylor King was another key player, going 2-for-6 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
Peabody Veterans Memorial was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .409. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bishop Fenwick, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Bishop Stang a 7-0 shutout on Wednesday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Bishop Fenwick's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Everything went Peabody Veterans Memorial's way against Bishop Fenwick in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Peabody Veterans Memorial made off with a 19-0 victory.
