Baseball Recap: Field Kindley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Field Kindley won against Cherryvale on Tuesday with 13 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Golden Tornado beat the Chargers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 13-3. The win was nothing new for the Golden Tornado as they're now sitting on three straight.

Ryley Robson made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Robson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bennett Thompson, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Brody Foster was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Field Kindley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive contests.

Field Kindley's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cherryvale, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Field Kindley will head out to square off against Columbus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Titans will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Golden Tornado surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cherryvale, they will square off against Riverton at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
