North Star/Starkweather took its contest against Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] last week by a conclusive 38 - 16 score. Junior Keaton Kvilvang was a big part of the win as his strong performance led the charge (he threw for 275 yards and three touchdowns).
As for St. John, it had all the answers against Towner-Granville-Upham last week, winning 38 - 6. St. John's offense might have been extra motivated to turn things around after difficulties scoring in its previous game.
Their wins bumped North Star/Starkweather to 4-3 and St. John to 4-2. St. John and North Star/Starkweather both have plenty of landslide victories under their belts (St. John with four and North Star/Starkweather with three), but only one can come away triumphant this week.
