Brody Winnett and Levi Wyman certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Winnett went 6 for 12 on his way to 14 points and eight boards, while Wyman posted 11 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance gave Winnett a new career-high in rebounds.
Even though they lost, Air Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cheyenne Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cayden Cooper, who had 16 points along with seven boards and seven steals. Cooper is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last nine games he's played. Alex Treglia was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to five rebounds and five steals.
