Gerstell Academy had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Monday. They claimed a resounding 55-25 victory over Notre Dame Prep on the road. That 30 points margin sets a new team best for Gerstell Academy this season.
Gerstell Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kiara Hardy led the charge by scoring 16 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Hardy scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eniyah Stinnette, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Gerstell Academy pushed their record up to 9-5 with that win, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Notre Dame Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Gerstell Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bryn Mawr at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Notre Dame Prep, they will head out on the road to take on Fallston at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Fallston focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Monday.
