Galena faced Carson in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Grizzlies fell just short of the Senators by a score of 15-13. The Grizzlies' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Taylor Cunningham led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Fast, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Galena's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12-1. As for Carson, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.

Coming up, Galena will be playing at home against Douglas at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
