In what's become a running theme this season, the Plainfield Quakers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They claimed a resounding 71-41 victory over Decatur Central at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Plainfield as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Leading Plainfield to victory were Payton Benge and Berkeley Williams. Benge dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, while Williams scored 27 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hannah Menser, who scored nine points along with seven assists and two blocks.
Plainfield's victory bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Decatur Central, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Plainfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Decatur Central will square off against Ben Davis at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Ben Davis is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
