The Chico Dragons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 36-21 bruising from Forestburg. Chico lost against Forestburg in their previous head to head two weeks ago, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 50-33 score last time.
Forestburg found their leader in underclassman Brenna Briles, who scored 8 points along with 11 rebounds and 4 steals. Madisen Deason was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Chico's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Forestburg, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-2.
Chico will be playing in front of their home fans against Saint Jo at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Saint Jo is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Forestburg, they will square off against Harrold at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Harrold presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Forestburg in Texas (Harrold is ranked 226th, while Forestburg is ranked 688th).
